isle of tease victoria international burlesque festival | 2019 inaugural year

What feels like a lifetime ago (but still only like yesterday), gathering in various living rooms across the city, our production team and leadership team put their heads together and excitedly organized the first international burlesque festival on Vancouver Island!

After a wildly successful first year, hosting international performers and headliners as well as local dynamos, and boasting 2 sold out shows – we were excitedly planning for 2020 and to make Isle of Tease an annual tradition in Victoria BC!

And then, well, 2020 happened.

And the next possible year to bring this festival back to the island kept getting pushed back… and back… and back.

Until now! We are finally back, organizing for 2024, and it’s got us reminiscing over the first year. So come down memory lane with us, and let’s look back at the stunning talent we had grace our stage in 2019.
